How to pay for Uber

Uber does not accept prepaid cards, and our card is a debit card, so it works. It is a Visa Business card in dollars. Issuing costs $10, you top up with crypto, and a transfer to the card is 7.5%.

What you need

  1. Top up the card

Transfer the cost of your rides with some extra: when you order, Uber holds the trip price. The card is also charged $0.25 per payment and 2.5% if the price is not in dollars.

  2. Open Wallet in Uber

In the app tap Account, then Wallet and Add Payment Method.

  3. Enter the card

Copy the number, expiry and CVV in “Details”. In the ZIP or postal code field, paste the postcode of the ready-made address from the article “Which name and address to enter” in the app and tap Save.

  4. Confirm the card

The confirmation code arrives in the chat with the bot. In the confirmation window, choose email for the code.

Billing address for the form

Ready-made addresses in the US and Estonia are in the app, in the article “Which name and address to enter”.

Common questions

Uber charged me twice

That is a hold, not a second charge. Uber holds the price when you order and when the route changes, and the bot reports holds too. The extra hold changes to “Canceled”, and the money is back on the card.
