How to pay on Airbnb
Airbnb accepts Visa debit cards, and our card works. It is a Visa Business debit card in dollars, not prepaid. Issuing costs $10, you top up with crypto, and a transfer to the card is 7.5%.
What you need
-
Top up the card
Transfer the booking amount with some extra: Airbnb holds the full amount right when you book. The card is also charged $0.25 per payment.
-
Choose dollars
Turn on a VPN before opening airbnb.com. In the menu open Languages & currency and choose the US dollar, then the card has no conversion.
-
Enter the card and address
On the listing page choose the dates and tap Reserve. Copy the number, expiry and CVV in “Details”. Country United States. A ready-made address and a backup Estonia one are in the app, in the article “Which name and address to enter”.
-
Confirm the payment
Tap Confirm and pay or Request to book. The confirmation code arrives in the chat with the bot. In the confirmation window, choose email for the code.
Billing address for the form
Ready-made addresses in the US and Estonia are in the app, in the article “Which name and address to enter”.
Holds and deposits
Pay part now, part later
Airbnb charges the second payment itself on the set date, so keep that amount on the card. A failed payment gives you 72 hours to pay, then the booking is cancelled.

Common questions
Airbnb asks to enter two amounts
This is a card check: Airbnb holds two amounts of up to $1.99. They are in the card history and in the bot messages. Enter them in Airbnb, and the holds are released.
The host declined the booking, but the money is held
Nothing is charged. Airbnb releases the hold, the history entry changes to “Canceled”, and the amount is back on the card.
