How to pay for Perplexity

Perplexity accepts Visa credit and debit cards, and our card works. It is a Visa Business debit card in dollars. Issuing costs $10, you top up with crypto, and a transfer to the card is 7.5%.

What you need

  1. Top up the card

    Transfer the plan price with some extra for the $0.25 payment fee.

  2. Open your subscription on perplexity.ai

    Turn on a VPN before signing in. Tap the profile icon, open Account and in Subscription tap Upgrade Plan.

  3. Enter the card and address

    A Stripe form opens. Copy the number, expiry and CVV in “Details”, in the form CVV is called CVC. Type the name in Latin letters. Country United States, a state with no sales tax. A ready-made address and a backup Estonia one are in the app, in the article “Which name and address to enter”.

  4. Confirm the payment

    The confirmation code arrives in the chat with the bot. In the confirmation window, choose email for the code.

Pay in dollars

At checkout Perplexity offers your local currency or USD. Choose USD, then there is no conversion, and the currency can later be changed only with a new subscription.

Common questions

Perplexity asks for a card for a Pro promo

Add our card on the website. Tap the profile icon, then Account, Subscription and Manage Plan, and in the Billing and Shipping Information block tap Add payment method. During the promo Perplexity charges nothing, then the subscription renews at the regular price. You get 7 days to add the card, without it the subscription is paused.

How to move from Pro to Max

Upgrade a Pro plan bought on the website right there, with the Upgrade Plan button in Account and Subscription. Perplexity credits the unused Pro time. In the app you would end up with a second Max subscription next to Pro.
