How to pay on Booking
Booking accepts Visa, and our card works. It is a Visa Business debit card in dollars, not prepaid. Issuing costs $10, you top up with crypto, and a transfer to the card is 7.5%.
What you need
-
Top up the card
Transfer the booking amount with some extra: the hotel can hold it to check the card right after you book. The card is also charged $0.25 per payment and 2.5% if the price is not in dollars.
-
Check the payment terms
Turn on a VPN before opening booking.com. The room conditions show when to pay: online right away, before arrival or at the property.
-
Enter the card
In the card form, type the name in Latin letters. Copy the number, expiry and CVV in “Details”.
-
Confirm the payment
The confirmation code arrives in the chat with the bot. In the confirmation window, choose email for the code.
Holds and deposits
Keep the booking amount on the card until it is charged. If the charge does not go through on time, the hotel can cancel the booking without notice.

Common questions
Money was held right after booking
This is a card check: the hotel holds an amount close to the booking price. While the hold is active, the history entry shows “Processing”, after release it changes to “Canceled”. How soon it is released depends on the hotel.
Booking offers to pay in dollars
Choose dollars, then the card has no conversion. Booking’s conversion fee is included in the rate or shown as a separate line, and you see the total before paying.
How to pay at the hotel at check-in
With your phone via Apple Pay or Google Pay. Add the card to your phone’s wallet before the trip.
